The property

Hardcastle Crags Cottage is a wonderful, terraced, stone cottage based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, boasting stunning countryside views across the fields and distant hills.

Internally, the property has been renovated with a modern and stylish decor, with original stone walls, giving the property a quirky feel - ideal for couples looking for a romantic break.

The sitting room is a welcoming space with two sofas and a lovely stove for that added extra warmth of a chilly evening; settle down with your loved ones and enjoy a film classic on the Smart TV with Sky and Netflix.  There is a dining table for 4 should you wish to hustle up a delicious meal with the fabulous local produce found at the market.  The musicians amongst you may enjoy the guitar or playing a tune on the old honky-tonk pianola.

The quality kitchen is well equipped with a combination of shaker units , stainless steel and chunky oak worktops.  Outside, there is a rear patio area and rose garden, separated on two levels with furniture on the bottom - a lovely enclosed space to enjoy a refreshing drink in the afternoon sun.

The first floor has two bedrooms.  The master bedroom boasts a beautifully refinished French antique kingsize corbeille bed with an extra deep mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets to ensure a perfect nights sleep.

The second bedroom is decorated with vintage travel trunks and a double bed, ideal for children or any extra guests that are staying.

The cottage is complete with a family bathroom, boasting an attractive black  and gold design, Rolltop bath with claw feet and finished is to a high-quality standard.

Roadside parking is available for one car directly outside the property within the residents parking zone (permit provided).

The cottage looks directly onto the countryside and the river Calder.  Less than a quarter of a mile from the property is Hardcastle Crags, a wooded Pennine valley - which is owned by the National Trust - offering scenic woodland walks across 15 miles, with a visitor centre situated inside a 19th century mill.

Venture along the river path into the bustling market town of Hebden Bridge for a range of amenities; whether it be shops, pubs, restaurants or cafés, you can find something to suit you.

Hardcastle Crags Cottage is the ultimate choice for a countryside break with your partner or family.

HOW TO GET HERE

By Car

 

By car, Hebden Bridge is easily accessible from two motorways.

M62 (to the south):
Junction 21 (via Littleborough and Todmorden) or junction 22 or 24 (via Sowerby Bridge).

M65 (to the west):
Junction 9 (via Burnley and Todmorden).

From Halifax on the A646 (Burnley Rd) 

Take the right fork after the train station

Drive up the A6033 (Keighley Rd)

Take the 4thleft turn at Nursery Nook down

Midgehole Rd (signposted Hardcastle Crags)

Less than 1 mile down the road you will approach some houses.

Crimsworth Terrace is the row of cottages on the right hand side at road level.

 

There are residents parking bays outside, you will be provided with a permit on arrival.

 

 

By Public Transportation

Hebden Bridge train station has direct services running west to Manchester, Burnley, Preston and Blackpool and east to Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, York and Scarborough. For details of services running to Hebden Bridge train station, visit nationalrail.co.ukor call 08457 48 49 50.
